Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology
In which department/unit do you work?
I work in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.
I provide sedation and general anesthesia for patients to help them get through diagnostic imaging and therapeutic surgical procedures in safety and with comfort. I also provide primary care for patients without health insurance every Saturday at the Paul Hom Asian (Free) Clinic, which is a student-run free clinic. I teach medical students history taking and physical examination skills. I am also a district director for the California Society of Anesthesiology.

Helping people.

I have been a full professor for about six years.
How long have you been at UC Davis?
20 years.
In the past five years, have you had any role in Academic Federation events or activities?
I attended two Academic Federation welcoming events.

I have been a member of the Committee on Committees and a member of the Academic Federation Executive Council.
Any other comments you would like to share?
I feel privileged to work with the university and to be in a position to make a positive investment for the future of our state by teaching young physicians the ethical and compassionate art of medicine.
