  • Charge
    A. Joint Federation/Senate Personnel Committee
      1. This committee shall consist of seven members. Five members shall be appointed by the Federation Committee on Committees:
        a. two from the Specialist in Cooperative Extension title series, and
        b. three from the Agronomist, Specialist, Professional Research, or Project Scientist title series or other Federation members in a research title series.
      Two members shall be members of the Academic Senate, appointed by the Senate Committee on Committees.
      2. The chair of the Joint Personnel Committee shall rotate annually, to the extent possible, between a member with the title Specialist in Cooperative Extension and a member with another Federation research title as listed above. Whenever possible, the chair should be selected from members serving their second year of the two-year term. Recommendations for the succeeding chair will be made by the current chair and the assigned staff analyst.
      3. The committee is authorized to confer with the Chancellor (or designee) and to make recommendations on personnel actions (appointments, merits, and promotions), personnel policies and standards, and related matters for members of the Agronomist, Specialist, Specialist in Cooperative Extension, Professional Research, or Project Scientist series, and such other title series as may be referred to it by the Chancellor (or designee).
      4. Quorum. A simple majority of the membership of this committee shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business.
