Charge

G. James. H. Meyer Distinguished Achievement Award   1. This committee shall consist of five members—the Vice Chair of the Federation, the Chair of the Federation Educational Affairs Committee, the Chair of the Federation Public Affairs Committee, the Chair of the Federation Research Committee, and, whenever possible, a past recipient of the James H. Meyer Distinguished Achievement Award.   2. The committee shall issue the call for nominations for the James H. Meyer Distinguished Achievement Award, which is annually awarded to a member of the Federation for a distinguished record in research, teaching, and/or public service. The call for nominations shall go out by March 1, with a deadline of May 15.   3. The recipient of this award cannot be a current member of this Committee.   4. The committee shall select the recipient of the James H. Meyer Distinguished Achievement Award, subject to the approval of the Federation Executive Council by the end of June.
